Not a physical sport. Sporting/sportsmanship centers around the competitive nature of the event, not how physical it is.

I grew up playing all the “real” sports. I get the pushback, but at the end of the day if there is an opponent, even if that opponent is yourself, it’s a sporting event.

    Everything can be a sport.

Well, everyone has their own view on what is a sport and what isn’t. Your view is perfectly fine for yourself, just as mine is perfectly fine for me. You say it’s a sport, I say it’s not. It’s simply a matter of opinion/preference

I agree mostly, But I do think it’s gratuitous of people to say ‘by definition’ because who gets to set the definition? The definition of something like sport is not an indefatigable universal truth, it’s only coz some bloke somewhere in history said ‘this is the definition of sport’ and some other people went along with it, but we can make definitions also. Thats why I don’t agree with people who say ‘it’s a sport and you have to call it a sport coz others say it is’ (I don’t mean you by that, but the people en masse.) My point is: the definition of sport, whether corporations like it or not, is a matter of opinion/personal preference. Anyone can call what they want a sport or not personally to them if they decide so. We shouldn’t care about the ‘definition’, unless you agree with that particular definition. What I’m saying is, have your own mind.
