I’m sorry, what? Living in reality is happiness. Pretending the world is what it is not is depressing because one day you’ll have to come to terms with reality and it’ll shatter you. Explain to me how your country has come into existence and remains peaceful (assuming it’s peaceful) without violence. I’m not saying peace doesn’t exist, but it’s yin and yang. The world isn’t flowers and rainbows and cannot possibly be that as our species currently exists today. If you believe that, then you are living in a bubble and willfully ignorant of human nature when peace or survival is threatened. Everything is violent when it has to be. You have the privilege of being peaceful because of the threat of violence. We’re still just animals when it really comes down to it.

Just think about what you said. How does that make any sense? The reason we exist is because our ancestors chose violence. Name any place in the world that didn’t have to protect themselves with violence.

The reason the recent generations in developed countries have been protected from violence is because of past violence, the threat of future violence, and current proxy violence.

Violence is just a natural part of our world, even at the cellular level.

They should have been more conservative in their business and expected that it was only surging because of the pandemic. They cashed in on the IPO but should have gotten out. Now they’re beholden to investors. Probably made enough money to not care if the company crashes and burns.

Doesn’t have to be ID directly to the website. Some other validated token can exist. I don’t have the solution but there will be one whether you can imagine it or not. Data gets stolen all the time. It’s just part of living in a digital world and part of that will require protecting children from radicalization and hyper-sexualization. Don’t think about red or blue. Think about the negative effects that porn and social media have on kids and then the adults they become.

There is a solution that I don’t have and people like you are unable to even imagine, but the internet will not be the Wild West forever.

totally agree. the idea to restrict access to social media is out of desperation because nobody wants to put restrictions on creating life.

Regardless of whether I have children or not, I would hope you would understand that being a good parent is intentional and not everybody is equipped or willing to do that especially if they didn’t intend on having children to begin with. You’re in a fantasy world if you think you can just expect everybody to be a good parent. That’s like expecting everybody to a good citizen. It’s not gonna happen. Unless you want to put restrictions on who is capable and allowed to bring life into the world, then you need another solution to parent those children who were born to bad parents. It’s for the protection of their children and for your children who will live in the world with them.

Yes it is. As long aa almost anybody can create a life whenever they can/want, we will live in a world where some people will not be effective parents. If you have children you will understand that it takes a lot of time, effort and foresight to be a good parent. It’s intentional and doesn’t just happen. Not everybody is going to or is capable of doing it.

You’re speaking my language now. I totally agree that we need education on parenting whether you’re going to be a parent or not. If you’re willing to go towards restrictions on having children then we’d be on the same page. Nobody wants to do that tho, so this is the alternative.

Apple has pictures of all of our faces. Companies have your voice if they want. It’s too late to worry about that. Anybody can be you if they want to. Eventually they could do it with a single photo if not already.

People use their Face ID all day every day. What are you talking about? You don’t think Apple has all that data?

You clearly don’t have children or are around people with children or you would understand how much poor parenting happens. It’s way too easy to have kids. You need to solve for that or else you need to do the parenting for them.
