I never learned how to fear the flames
Well, if you want to try that, I recommend getting the Cheo gram data plan that charges you $7 per gigabyte, but otherwise doesn’t charge you at all and only cost $5 a year. If you combine that with the Rethink VPN manager, these are all open source tools, by the way, then you can easily shut off everything on mobile data that would consume more than a couple megabytes per month.
So, a year ago when we last spoke, a lot of the Google escalation hadn’t happened yet. Now you literally need to do this kind of graphene OS shit to your phone. If you want to be able to install any cool open source apps, so Game Over my dude. I’m not happy either.
you can always agonize about the perfect option over the course of a year after jumping ship!
hey don’t hold back, i already bought another ~$110 USD samsung off newegg and put LineageOS on it haha making it for a friend
I won’t nag you to switch until you have a second device handy haha that’s when I did, but switched from a secondhand iOS device bought off a friend for almost nothing
So what do you use instead? Not iOS I hope LOL. LineageOS is the best option I’ve found. I’m not a Tech Philosopher, I want control over my device.
I did not have any problems installing LineageOS on my Galaxy at all and it solves most of the issues you listed. Helps with battery life etc. It’s not just mostly degoogling.
this seems like a good situation to hear about rooting but go off
dude leave the country nobody can stop you
