  • I have adblock on my Mac, but not on the PS5. Whenever I watch YouTube on my TV via PS5, I have to open and close videos sometimes 10 or 15 times before they just play the video I’ve clicked on and not some obnoxious 45 second long advert for some bullshit I don’t want and won’t use. Honestly not sure why YouTube finds it so hard to play the video I clicked on and not random other videos. I also tend to stop watching vids as soon as an ad break happens.

I work with a marketing department full time and they’re exactly as annoying as expected, always pissing about on tiktok or Instagram creating shit that nobody could possibly feasibly care about.

Is there an alternative to YouTube on PS5 that doesn’t have adverts? Or is there some way to get adblocking on there?

In a comic where there is one panel dedicated to the depiction of a nonce, who I agree could look like literally anybody, how would you have preferred the artist represent every type of person? Some sort of shifting miasma? A vague cloud? One of those stroke pictures where nothing is quite what it looks like? Michael Jackson’s Black or White video?

I’ve heard you can pre-order the ultimate mega edition of AAA Game 2 for only £300! It comes with a season pass (but they’ll never finish the roadmap), and extra DLC that isn’t in the season pass too! You’ll still need to buy the extra extra DLC to get the full experience though…

  • I’m just generally pretty skeptical of DLC; I feel like sure, there are some good examples of actual “expansions” but that a lot of DLC is just cynical nickle-and-diming pushed by publishers.

I’m even more skeptical of season passes, which feels like pre-ordering DLC. I don’t pre-order anything, and barely keep up with modern gaming, because it feels like disappointment after disappointment.

I also feel a little negative about a developer releasing something and even months before launch having one eye on DLC. I understand it probably works that way in terms of development timelines, and I understand that it can be a good way to keep employees working on something productive, but I can’t help but feel like I’m not getting as full a game as I could have.

It’s just my opinion tho, and I’m definitely not saying everyone has to agree!
