Zen makes something like 84 external connections, which is around double what even Edge makes (and Microsoft has basically become a malware company).
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free 🇵🇸

It’s dead and they’re replacing it with an AI-first browser. Gross.
If you want the main things Arc gives you (vertical tabs, tab groups), you can get them with Firefox or a Firefox spinoff like Librewolf.
Every single one of these always links back to a government that absolutely refuses to help its people. It’s simple cause and effect.
It’s a tactic these dipshits use to downplay your legitimate concerns. Nobody gives a fuck about ping pong tables, snacks, paid lunches.
Pay well or fuck off, the end.
Yes! I’ll keep an eye out for the registration.
It’s the simplest conflict on the face of the planet. There is nothing complicated about it, just like the Holocaust was not a complicated thing to grasp. The problem is that no one is immune to propaganda. It’s why even mentioning China in the US makes people uneasy and abruptly stupid. Someone that might otherwise be one of the most articulate people you know, will suddenly become a 2-dimensional dipshit if you mention China, Israel, or Palestine. Undoing that indoctrination takes work—the kind of work a lot of folks are too lazy or busy to care about.
I’m gonna die telling fascists to eat a bag of dicks as they try to arrest me for talking shit about Israel on my own Lemmy instance. That’s the country these fascists are shaping for us. An AI-driven hellscape.
Yeah, that makes more sense. More users automatically means there will statistically be more complaints due to sheer numbers.
I have one too and love that thing! Even as a programmer, I find the only time I use a computer is during work time. Otherwise I’m mostly on my Steam Deck.
Being the single OS that has had a chokehold on the prebuilt computer industry for ages doesn’t mean it’s popular. It’s also used in tons of workplaces where people don’t have a choice. High number doesn’t automatically correlate to “popular.”
Windows is basically malware now. My wife is forced to use W11 for work and she fucking hates it with a passion (and that’s the pared down IT version).
I pulled out my old gaming laptop that had been unplugged for quite a while and found it somehow updated itself to W11. I immediately wiped the computer and installed Nobara as the main OS. No regrets, no issues, and no half-assed bullshit.
Windows on the ASUS ROG Ally is absolute dog shit. It would constantly reboot to install unwanted updates that offered zero value on a handheld (let alone anything).
Nothing I own will ever run Windows.
Windows isn’t popular. It’s forced onto tons of prebuilt computers and most people wouldn’t know what to use instead. Fuck Windows. Rant over.
Tons of corporate software out there will record user sessions in order to debug issues and replay a user’s interactions so an engineer can review it. Take a look at tools like Hotjar, Logrocket, and Fullstory.
Not making excuses for them and it’s probably less insidious than this makes it out to be, but people should be aware that this is not uncommon at all.
Can’t eventually have senior engineers without giving junior engineers a chance, so good luck with that. I’ve got nearly 2 decades under my belt and I’m ready to leave.
I loved these things. Never understood how they worked (still don’t) but I didn’t care!
The potential customers here are whatever companies they inevitably sell the data and product to down the road.
Yep, this is my setup. I did the whole *arr apps, Plex and Usenet setup for years, but hated dealing with storing the files. It also didn’t help when my 8TB drive decided to act up and make files inaccessible.
Now I stream everything through Stremio with RD+. Works on every device flawlessly.
I’ve watched a few random ones over the years. No idea who he is.
I oversold it in my original comment, but it still performs better than using regular cameras like Tesla did. It performs better in weather and other scenarios than standard cameras. Elon is dumb though and doesn’t think LiDAR is needed for self-driving.
I’m curious how many folks in the US basically go broke from truck payments and interest rates. I do pretty well working in tech and I still gasp whenever I look at truck prices here. They’re a massive fucking ripoff—even small trucks like the Ranger and Tacoma. I probably walk past folks on the daily that are paying 4-digits every month for a stupid status symbol, while they get paid like shit.
