I deleted Twitter as soon as Space Karen took over.
However, my friends and so many people I follow on other platforms still link their Twitter profiles. For some there needs to be something solid to make a real and consistent migration. I was overly hopeful that Threads (yes, another evil) would have buried Twitter.
I mean, if I was gonna drown, I wouldn’t mind hooking up beforehand. Just saying.
try clearing your cookies or whatever on whatever browser and sign in page for that, I need to do that every now and again and I lose my shit every time.
Sounds similar to the SSL stuff, like for GitHub and stuff. I guess the preference in that case would be my password manager as it stores my password already.
Perhaps it’s best I pay for Bitwarden premium now and use those hardware keys people are recommending.

Yeah I didn’t understand passkeys. I’m like why is my browser asking to store them? What if I’m using another browser? Why is my password manager fighting with my browser on where to store this passkey?
I felt so uneasy.
So I decided not to use passkeys for now until I understood what’s going on.

It takes me a while to see how enraged I get with it. I always have to wonder if I can take a punch from that person.
I once joked, “hey that’s pretty loud isn’t it?” And instead of them taking the hint, they were startled and were like, what’s going on? and I instead I just go, “excuse me, could you turn that down?” now. Direct approach is better.
I just got my pro fold, I haven’t used it that much as a tablet to be honest. It is nice to do when I need it.

I worked for a major investment bank and one of their exotics trading teams was basically all add-ons and stuff built on top of Excel.
To be fair, the traders looked like Wizards using it, it was pretty neat.

I don’t think we could have made the progress with smoking in the US now like we did back then. Would have turned into a partisan issue about freedoms and all that.
But like, what financial benefits do they get from this? Like the country itself. I’m really bad in this area. Like, do they buy property or set up a thin business? Does that pull in enough?
There’s something really satisfying about running a script that you know would save time. Even if the overall time is probably a negative.
I wrote a script that would log me into our AWS EKS stuff. I typically would have to copy these 7 lines and look up which cluster version I’d need. One of my lines just pulls all the clusters and I use fzf to select the cluster I wanted. Takes away all the pain and makes me feel smug. Love it.
I thought they were making a joke, in that latte means milk and that it’s “cafe latte” in Italy or something.

To clarify, I mean Meta couldn’t be a little less data hungry in order to take marketshare from Twitter. They instantly needed access to absolutely everything at the start.
