They’ve attempted to kill off java several times. It’s been second graded for years now in development. Geyser became a chore, using bedrock for java isnt fun anymore(it ran so much smoother, i kinda miss it). The list of bedrock exclusive features keeps growing each patch.
Not just the streamers, Java’s community is massive thanks to Bukkit, Spigot, Paper and the like. They know that dropping java would just result in a fork to a clone. As the majority of the Minecraft community infrastructure is not dependent on Mojang and Microsoft.

I was watching Enter the Dragon a few days ago.
Amazing how a movie from 1973 has better audio quality than the vast majority modern movies. And that movie feels like a bad dub sometimes.
They often claim you need a proper audio setup.
I have an expensive (be it old) surround sound setup. Marvel and many other modern movies suck absolute arse. Having to pause and fiddle with volume going from a barely audible conversation to deafening noise in a single scene.
Fuck that noise, audio seems optimized for smartphone speakers nowadays.
Netflix has been listing piracy as their biggest competition for a couple of years now.
It is the threat to corpos we think it is. They are using and bending the legal system rather than treating it as actual competition. Which is a direct threat to our freedom.
