Nah. Seasickness doesnt make you shit your pants. Depending on who you are, you may pee yourself a little, though.

When I was in my late teens, I ended up on a boat from Ft Lauderdale to the Bahamas. Theres no way no to go through just a little bit of the Burmuda Triangle. I remember freaking out / being super excited, wondering what crazy stuff things would happen on our journey. Of course, nothing happened. I was so disillusioned.
Theres firestick apps that stream all the regular channels, plus all the premium channels. (HBO, showtime, stars, ppv, etc) Essentially for $10 - $20 a month you get the best, most decked out cable package one could buy. You may or may not have access to all the new and old movies, TV shows (from all the platforms), and porn, on demand, as well. Maybe like that?
Well, Texas DID requre annual inspections. This is the last year. On Jan 2025, annual inspections will no longer be required, although, some counties will still require emissions testing, and you still have to pay the fee.
Idk theres a car dealership that has a 2 level version of this. The middle part is raised and spins with the base. Its not as wide as the old ones, but it seems just as dangerous.
Then theres the single person versions that works off of like angled centrifugal force? Idk. It spins and spins just from body weight. They can start it on their own, but I’ve had random kids ask me to help them stop, cause they couldn’t do it themselves. I see variations of these in most newer playgrounds. Some have you sitting, some standing. Many parents still dont give a shit.
Location. L stands for location…
My old HTC one had an ir blaster. It was great.
Jingle bells in my ass
The article I read said Alzheimer patients had 10x the amount of plastics in the, compared to peoples ithput Alzheimers.
Edit: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/article/2024/aug/21/microplastics-brain-pollution-health
In the study, researchers looked at 12 brain samples from people who had died with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. These brains contained up to 10 times more plastic by weight than healthy samples.
I concur. I used to be able to leave a huge gap and nobody would care. I drove a manual and didn’t want the hassle of stopping. But, I tried this recently, and I ended up making the fast lane the slow lane and I had the guy behind me honking and yelling out his window to stop letting everyone in.
Piss off the wrong guy in Texas and see where that gets you. I was lucky all he did was honk and yell.
Gotcha.
Upon looking into it further it seems they just bought the design department. That’s crazy.
I used to love HTC phones, and was a loyal customer. Glad they’re trying to make a comeback.
Didn’t google buy HTC?
They were getting DDOS attacks.
Ugh, the car!
I live in the heat. I have to start to car before hand, just to make it so the family doesn’t melt to the seats. It connects. I switch it back to my headset. I go back in the house to get stuff to load up, and I go out of range. Get back in range. It connects again. I switch it back to the headset. I forgot something…
Rinse and repeat like 5 times before I’m good to go. Whole time, I’m only catching every 10th word of whatever someone is saying to me on the phone, thinking it lost service, or they hung up on me.
I hate auto connect.
Nah, it’s good. No pressure. These are just resources that I kinda had to stumble across, although im sure theyre in some super accessible place and im just a ding dong. Figured if they could help another person, then so be it.
It’s hard times right now, you do what you gotta do to keep on keeping on. Lemmy.world is a completely fine choice. They’re a large, mainstream place to get comfortable in. But, if you get bored one day and want to check out what else is out there, you’ve got something to get you started.
I wish you luck, some free time, and some peace of mind.
If you ever decide you want to branch out, you can try the instance / community browser at https://lemmyverse.net to check out whats out there.
I will say that although it technically doesnt matter what instance you sign up with, sometimes the descriptions aren’t very descriptive at all. Definitely give an instance a browse, to get a feel for the overall vibe, before you sign up.
You can check to see if an instance has been defederated from / by other instances, by entering said instance address at https://defed.xyz/
The summary for the post kinda misses the mark on what the majority of the article is pushing.
Yes, the first part describes employees struggling with AI, but the majority of the article makes the case for hiring more freelancers and updating “outdated work models and systems…to unlock the full expected productivity value of AI.”
It essentially says that AI isn’t the problem, since freelancers can use it perfectly. So full time employees need to be “rethinking how to best do their work and accomplish their goals in light of AI advancements.”
Whole new meaning to Ghost Kitchen
I really, truly used to think Billy Jean is not my daughter, she’s just a chair.
You’d be surprised how a pokemon go player will open the app in the middle of the wilderness, even with one questionable reception bar, just to see if there’s a secret rare pokemon that lives there. Bonus if you get a postcard from a pokestop someone submitted, because that trail mile marker is “special.” You can keep it for memories, or send it to a friend you’ve never spoken to, for bragging rights. It’s also not unheard of, for people to crawl through backroads in their car, since the app won’t let catch pokemon or count km’s, if you go more than ±15 mph.
