There would need to be a legal complaint for a regulatory body correct? A legal complaint was never made.

Despite what TikTok might claim, I’m fairly certain they’ve never actually turned a profit. Data collection, and influencing the American was always the point.
I’ve personally gone with an N100 Mini PC running Proxmox and two of these daisy-chained (purchased on sale). https://www.amazon.com/MAIWO-Enclosure-Cooling-Storage-Expansion/dp/B0D28Q187R/
The MAIWO DAS uses garbage JMicron firmware by default, and there are significant issues with their sleep functions. Because of that, it took me forever to figure out why SnapRAID kept failing mid-sync. Fortunately, new firmware seems to have fixed their issues and they’ve been rock solid ever since. I specifically had to update the firmware for all 4 of the USB controllers on each DAS.

Yeah, from my experience I believe Kagi’s results are like 90%+ pulled from Brave’s search index. I like the concept of Kagi, but I prefer SearXNG as a search aggregator.
When the citations are on point, I like AI search. 9 times out of 10 I care enough to read the source though.
However, there are still way too many hallucinations when it comes to sources in my experience. It just wastes my time when I go to verify and find that AI just spat out garbage.
Anyone have an opinion on Perplexity compared to Brave Search?
I really value Brave having their own independent search index. Google, Bing, and Yandex have dominated the space for quite some time.
I know Perplexity claims to have a small / curated independent index, but I’m not really sure how true that is.
Heroic Games Launcher is a pretty smooth experience on Linux for what it’s worth. It works well for GOG, Epic, and Amazon Games.
I’d be happier if they push for lighter devices personally. Glass feels nice, but their Pro models can be obnoxiously heavy.
If you’re referring to APrime, he did release an updated statement on Twitter/X.
Last year, I made the decision to leave LMG influenced by a series of negative emotions that clouded my judgement. So over the past few months, I’ve taken the time to apologize privately to Linus, Yvonne, and others on the team because my actions and words were unfair to them.
Throughout my five years of employment there, they’ve shown nothing but kindness and forgiveness. We’ve had our differences, but none of them justified the comments I made or the disturbances I caused after my departure.
My decision to leave was unfortunately precipitated by a challenging period in my personal life, which I felt was affecting my work. The “drama” unfolded while I was on vacation, a time when I was hoping to recharge. Instead, I returned feeling more frustrated & immediately quit.
Since then, I’ve continued with therapy, which I had started in the Spring under the company health plan, and this eventually led to a diagnosis of certain mental health conditions. I’m grateful for the support I received, as it helped me understand and address these issues.
I genuinely miss the people at LMG (though the feeling may not be mutual) & feel my motives for leaving were misguided.
However, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented and wonderful people since, & I’m excited about the prospect having more in the future. :)
Have you ever looked at the DeArrow extension?
Ironically, the claims weren’t even against him, but rather someone else (unnamed) at his company (Linus Media Group).
The video is on Floatplane (paid service)
Can you articulate why you don’t trust Proton? From everything I know, they have a stellar reputation and have been around since 2013 with no end in sight.

Haha, no bot at this time. Just me copying and pasting in a template. Maybe one day if I get better at coding.
Indistinguishable no, but both are stimulants approved to treat ADHD and have similar effects.
If the dose is adjusted, fentanyl has a similar effect to oxycodone as well.
Seems to be one of many from what I’ve read.
Streaming video is expensive. LTT did it with Floatplane, even going so far as to develop their own backend. Watcher and some other YouTubers did it with Vimeo as their backend, but Vimeo still takes a large cut.
At the end of the day, people are doing this, but YouTube still offers a compelling value compared to other platforms. It’s hard to beat their scale, sophistication, and the discoverability of their platform.
