They perceive any act in service to anybody but themselves as weakness. People say they’re like this because they’re afraid of being seen as feminine and that may be true for some but I think many others just want to live in a world where they have no accountability and can take whatever they want while being praised by the people around them for the scraps they leave behind.
At this point I feel like it’s totally plausible that the real reason he’s fighting so hard to keep the Epstein files locked away is not because they implicate him in the sex trafficking of underaged children but rather they reveal that he engaged in gay sex with his now political rivals.
As a human being, human beings are the worst. If it wasn’t for our tendency to completely dominate our environments, I don’t know why the world would put up with us.

That one bite from the middle is going to be super satisfying.

Microsoft are a bunch of pussies also release the Epstein files!
Maybe it’s a vegetarian thing but I almost never have to worry about eating stuff that’s off. Unless there’s visible mold on it, so long as it passes the sniff test and sometimes taste test if I’m feeling a little suspicious I’ll eat anything that’s been in the fridge over a week without any noticeable consequences.
Do you really expect anything less from an anonymous public message board? It’s practically a Law of the Internet that invoking any version of the words “vegan” or “vegetarian” is bound to spark outrage from one side or the other.

I was chatting with some folks the other day and somebody was going on about how they had gotten asymptomatic long-COVID from the vaccine. When asked about her sources her response was that AI had pointed her to studies and you could viscerally feel everybody else’s cringe.

The bugs always attack first in my worlds and they never stop. They virtually force me to send them into extension as a matter of self preservation.
It wouldn’t bother me if somebody wanted to bring a friend on a date. However, I would communicate that it would change the dynamic into a “hangout” over a traditional “date” for me. The difference being that a date carries romantic intent and a hangout is for the sake of connecting with others without romantic expectations. Also, a hangout means everybody pays for themselves.
This takes the pressure off by lowering the stakes since it’s now just a casual hangout between peers. It also has the benefit of making the third not feel excluded as a third wheel but a welcome part of the group.
D without a doubt. Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, parts of China. It’s even got some Mediterranean in there. That’s basically all I eat already.

Maybe something’s going over my head but my understanding is a VPN can get you around region locks but you still have to pay for the streaming service to access it.
Unless you’re talking about using a VPN to pirate, which I’ve definitely done without a VPN, albeit a long time ago.

Don’t forget, Hulu is owned by Disney too. Honestly, I’m done with video streaming at least for a while. I never have time anymore to watch anything so it’s just a money suck and physical media is better anyway.
Clarification for green. Does it require physical contact or is it like a Death Note situation? If it’s the former, don’t we already have that ability? What about non-bio-based materials? If you eat a rock and poop out a rock, does it also now qualify as poo?
It’s disturbing how normalized speeding is. It goes beyond normalization. I’ve had people get furious with me, flip me off, tailgate me aggressively and literally try to run me off the road for driving the speed limit.
It’s especially stupid in the city. People get all pissed at me for driving the speed limit and maneuver recklessly around me before speeding off, only to get stuck at the red light a block ahead. I could feel smug as I pulled up beside them a moment later, that is if it weren’t for the disappointment and frustration I feel with how stupid people are behind the wheel of these speeding death machines.
I can’t think of any other law we have where a significant proportion of society seems to be actively hostile towards those who care to abide. Why do we accept this as a society?
I rewatched it (several times, actually…) recently after Andor S2 and was just a little underwhelmed after years of remembering it through rose-tinted lenses. That’s not to say it’s a bad movie. Just kinda mid or slightly above average, which puts it far ahead of the rest of the Disney-era Star Wars movies. But next to the quality of Andor there are definitely some things that stick out.
Some critiques I have are pacing, unearned character flip-flopping when convenient, and supporting characters whose own motivations don’t go far beyond supporting the main characters.
It still has a special place in my heart and this isn’t to say other SW media is without flaw. I think Rogue One is a fun movie but its greatness lies in how it sets up the Andor series rather than anything it does by itself.
I definitely think the best way to appreciate it is immediately following the Andor series, which itself is best after a Rogue One watch, at least the first time around. I.e. Rogue One -> Andor -> Rogue One
