Vaultwarden
Because they aren’t focused on just one single service. Bitwarden is a single business only focusing on their password manager, whereas proton has a suite of tools. Passwords need to be stored absolutely in a robust and safe way. I don’t trust proton with anything at all, and the proton pass is no exception. The client might be open source, but the backend is not. It’s also not as mature as bitwarden.
The server is not open source and I wouldn’t trust a business that is not just working on password managers.
That is the bare minimum of a password manager like Bitwarden.
Bitwarden is an online password manager and no I don’t consider self hosting it offline.
Passkeys are only good if they aren’t in a online password manager. They are better than TOTP 2FA in terms of security and phishing resistance. I see 2FA as a last resort when someone even gets into my password manager. Storing passkeys completely makes this useless, as I’m sure anyone that can log into my accounts would’ve done so by getting a hold of my unencrypted password manager database. Unless android provides a real offline way of storing passkeys in the device, I am not interested alot.
KeePass has passkey support
The CVE-2024-9680 vulnerability is described as a “use-after-free” flaw, which occurs when a program tries to access memory that has already been released or freed. Memory corruption bugs like this are often used to attack browsers, potentially giving attackers control over the service or further access to the system.
R… ru. Rst… rust
CSR exists. You know, WASM CSR websites rely on JS to manipulate the DOM.
What do you mean by that? WikiLeaks data is already public.
It’s kind of sad that people can’t take such things as sarcasm without me explicitly stating that it is.
Point 2… if you pay for a email aliasing service, you will be locked in. What I suggest is using plus addressing. e.g.
example+83hdo72@example.com
As long as you keep using randomized ones, this’ll be as good as an alias against automated and manual login attempts. It just does not hide your base email, which would be
example@example.com
Many email services offer some free aliases. For example, I use one alias, along with my main email that is only used for important services. Other than that, I have an alias that is used for online accounts. This way, your main inbox is free of spammers. And even if your main address were to be the target of a spammer, the automatic spamming software most likely will not chop off the plus part, so you can easily block that email with the specific plus identifier. Not as good as external email aliasing services, but at least you won’t be locked into the email aliasing service. Bitwarden has a generator for such things, really nice tbh.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Mobile
How about I wipe the drive clean and install gentoo
If you have a new NVIDIA GPU (Turing+), you can use the new open kernel module. If you have older ones, I guess you’re stuck with the proprietary or bad unofficial open source ones. The open kernel module works good and gets the job done. No need to be afraid of it. I get over 1000fps in (optimized) minecraft with shaders. I couldn’t do that in windows.
The whole idea of the fediverse is decentralization and federation. It is a good thing
“You may not use this SDK to develop applications for use with software other than Bitwarden (including non-compatible implementations of Bitwarden) or to develop another SDK.”
This is a condition when using their SDK. This is not considered a free (as in freedom) component because it violates freedom 0: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.en.html#four-freedoms
