No, they still collect the same amount of data about you. Apple is just very strict about making sure only Apple gets that data, and not other apps/websites on your device

There is a blue van in the right lane, and at 270 km/h (168 MPH), he’s going to be right behind it in a second
And you can tell how fast that van is driving from this picture? Or how long the POV car has been in the left lane already?
Even if the Van was stationary it would take the car 5 seconds to reach it at 270 kmh
You can tell he is American because he blocks the left line while the right lane is free
So you want to severely inconvenience the vast majority of people for your own personal gain?
Surely there is a better compromise
“I don’t care about cookies” although it does occasionally break some websites
And with a kindle you can just email the file to it
Ye, but that one is on purpose
You’ve clearly never run hackintosh. MacOS runs better than Windows even on PCs not made by Apple. The difference is especially obvious on Laptops, where MacOS gets almost as much battery life as Linux, whilst Windows barely gets about 2/3rds as much
Yeah, the only caveat is that you don’t get an installer with steam, so if you copy the installed game onto a pc that doesn’t have all the correct dependencies installed (like the correct DirectX version for example), then the game won’t launch. But it’s not too complicated to install the dependencies manually
Same thing applies to Steam. You don’t need to use the Steam DRM if you don’t want to, it gets added by the developers/publishers. There are plenty of DRM-free games on Steam
It wasn’t really like DND, it was like those old text based adventure games you would be able to play on DOS PCs before they got advanced enough for proper 2d graphics. Except this one was AI generated using GPT2 to have infinite interactive scenarios
It still exists if you want to check it out yourself, but it no longer uses GPT2
It was an AI text adventure game based on GPT 2 (nowadays it uses a more advanced custom LLM) . It released a long time ago and lots of people repurposed it as an interactive erotica novel
MacOS has 25% market share for desktop operating systems in the United States. That counts as mainstream to me
MacOS had that feature for a long time, it’s pretty intuitive. I’ve never heard of someone thinking it’s a bug despite MacOS being very mainstream nowadays
Yes, because the only people buying Nintendo Switch games are the ones who don’t care about the price in the first place. If you want to save money on switch games you just pirate them
Is this 2010?
If you want to edit photos then Affinity is passable, and GIMP is a joke.
If all you want to do is draw, then Krita is a very capable alternative to Photoshop, but being good at only a specific subset of Photoshop capabilites doesn’t turn it into a replacement for it
Sadly there is no alternative that is even remotely as capable
Bonus points: In Germany all phones come unlocked, regardless if you get them with a contract or not, and we still get much better discounts on the phones than in America.
Often times the total cost of the 24 month contract ends up being cheaper than buying the phone without a contract, so you essentially end up with a free phone plan
