One monitor will be fine no matter the resolution.

Hey I will give my anecdotal recent experience. Several months ago I switched to Pop! OS and have had basically no issues. I have an Nvidia GPU and I play a lot of games. I don’t play any games that are blocked by anti cheat (not because I can’t, I just don’t happen to play the few that are blocked).
I spent the first day getting everything signed in, installed, set up and tweaked to how I like it with very minimal terminal usage. Mostly gui and clicking.
Steam+Proton along with lutris makes it easy to play any game for me.
Side note: I have 4 monitors of varying resolution, size, orientation and refresh rate and it hasn’t caused problems other than the initial setup (I used cursr to help with this)
What does the (x) mean?
Why in the world would I not want to see downvotes?
Play star citizen. You’ll use that up fast.
I have one of these on my shelf. My wife got one in a wedding party gift bag a few years ago.
How many aliases do you have? I have a couple hundred IIRC
I’ll be honest I am very glad that works for you, but I don’t like touching email servers with a 10 foot pole haha. Too much trouble for me.
The limit for Proton itself is so generous I haven’t needed to. I have an alias for almost every single online account I have, and it’s all built in to the password manager. Very handy.
Proton pass is another
I love that it doesn’t unlock any features, but it does prominently display in the app as “activated” or whatever. It feels like “yeah, I have paid my portion, I am now entitled to use this forever guilt-free”
You’re welcome! If you use unraid, you can also skip docker compose and use the “official” docker container from couchdb, see my comment in that thread for more info.
I just set this up yesterday, coincidentally. I have it behind a reverse proxy + subdomain so I and my wife can share notes easily wherever we are. Mainly shopping lists, projects, and other things.
The plug in “self hosted livesync” most likely. You need a couchdb server for it.
I have subscribed to a couple projects on github (the recurring payment thing) and purchased the optional immich license. I think the immich license is a great model, and more projects should do it.
Another big argument is the large resource and environmental cost of AI. I’d rather laugh at a shitty photoshop or ms paint meme (like this one) than a funny image created in some water-hogging energy-guzzling server warehouse.
My eyes like it, it brings me dopamine
Exactly! I’m glad you understand.
You are the reason they didn’t lose it all.
The important questions. I miss aero so much.
