Is this how Costco keeps their hotdog combo so cheap?

It makes me cry when modded minecraft uses 100% of my CPU and eats up 20gb of ram. (This is only a little bit java’s fault)

That’s unfortunate. I have gotten 3 of my non-Linux friends to install it and everything “just worked”, I hadn’t heard of any issues like that before.

Cachy is great for newbies. There’s no tweaking required, at least not more than mint. The AUR has all your weird niche programs you had on windows that apt and flatpak don’t have. It just works out of the box.

It just works out of the box. Not much tweaking required with cachy. Arguably less than other distros since all my weird niche prigrams are available on the AUR and not apt or flatpak.

This has been fixed since then.
Also to get around it just press ctrl alt f2 and sign in in the window that appears. But like I said, no need since it has been fixed.
A sacrifice we need, but not one we deserve.

Yeah, it transcodes AV1 just fine. Half my stuff is in AV1 and I’ve never had an issue watching it on any device.

Damn my bad, that changes everything! My sincere apologies!

I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic or if you truly don’t understand. But let me know if you’re serious and I can fully explain why everyone else here finds it funny. There’s no shame in not understanding.

I enjoyed it too and I wish it took up more of my screen space. We’re in the lead now!

Don’t you go dragging Linux into this /s

Might be a big change but look into unraid. Dead simple. I’ll never use anything else for self hosting.

I have one of these in my town. It’s a cell tower dead center in the middle of town, and they boxed it up in a building-like facade and put that glowing logo at the top. Massive eye of sauron vibes. It’s the tallest thing in the city. At night you can see it for miles.

Side note: if you want to run a dedicated server and play on it with a cracked version (or just an offline mode or while MS services are down) edit the server.properties file and set online-mode=false from true. (Then restart the server if it was online)
This wipes everyone’s inventories if there was already progress, so have everyone put their items in a chest before doing this. If you use modded, have everyone unclaim their chunks or any other username-bound items like teleporters with permission systems.
All of this can be redone, reclaimed, re-bound after the change happens. This effectively changes your in-game identities on a server from a Microsoft one to an offline one. This also makes it possible to evade username-based bans.

It’s a meme about how draining the cmos battery bricked some PC’s, I think. It’s formatted like the Wikipedia sidebar summary for articles on wartime battles.
Oh yeah I know all about that, I’m talking about what it actually uses within the JVM 😅 It’s a messy monster of a game once modded, and there’s really nothing you can do about it other than some slight optimizations here and there.
