minus-squareCalypsoGirl@lemmy.todaylinkfedilinkarrow-up27·1 day agoSuggested serving sizes have never been realistic. Manipulated by the manufacturer to make us think the food is lower in calories than it actually is. In reality we all serve ourselves a fifth of a jar. List THOSE calories on the label please.
minus-squareFinishingDutch@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·23 hours agoYeah ‘serving size: three jelly beans’ or ‘one Oreo cookie’ are not realistic even for people who don’t actually binge them.
minus-squareVindictiveJudge@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·23 hours agoI think these things should at least have the total calories also listed, and not just from multiplying the (frequently rounded down) serving size calories.
minus-squareskidicarus@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up9arrow-down4·edit-21 day agoPeanut butter typically has a serving size of one or two tablespoons. That’s entirely reasonable.
minus-squareFredthefishlord@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkarrow-up8arrow-down2·edit-21 day agoNo that’s not reasonable wtf
minus-squareskidicarus@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down1·20 hours agoJust used a tablespoon of peanut butter right now. Pretty sure I’ve never used more than two unless I’m making a recipe for multiple people.
minus-squarenotabot@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·17 hours agoIt’s ok to admit you don’t like peanut butter. Next you’re going to tell us you only eat the smooth stuff, aren’t you? 🤔
minus-squareskidicarus@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up1·16 hours agoI’m actually a peanut butter purist. Only ingredients are peanuts and water.
minus-squarenotabot@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·16 hours agoI find a pinch of salt helps to bring out the flavour and accentuates the roast. It’s got to be crunchy though.
minus-squareBillegh@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down1·1 day agoMaybe for someone with a peanut allergy. The rest of us are out here using cups.
