Ok, I interpreted “well behaved” as they don’t jump on the kitchen counters. In that case I guess we agree that we disagree. My own two cats know the counters are off limits and don’t feel the need to jump on them. I still keep the kitchen door closed when I am not home or sleeping, but there is always the chance I might forget, which is exactly why training is important.
You shouldn’t be leaving any of that out unattended.

They’re both very well behaved. They don’t interrupt when I’m cooking but when I’m not they’re allowed to do as they please.
