It works for games that don’t have DRM* Gameyfin is just for metadata and to download the games, it doesn’t actually get them for you. *For some games you need to do something extra. If you’re interested I recommend you this resource.

How are you “ripping”? Do you do that yourself or does Gameyfin do that for you?
Literally just copying the game folder. I compress it as much as I can with 7zip and I put it on gameyfin. It works for games that don’t have DRM*
