Wish proton would focus on fixing some of the issues with their mail system in 2026. The fact that some issues have been open for years, with no movement, while they launch crap like an AI assistant, is disappointing

People and businesses will ditch US platforms

    That’s a bold one. Hope it’s true

      • The EU will keep pushing to break encryption: like they have been doing for decades? Do you remember the book that Bruce Schneier wrote?
      • More age verification laws: yeah, more, that is obvious too that they won’t stop
      • More efforts to block VPNs: after scanning phones locally and remotely to “think of the children” and wanting to spy on every messaging service, VPN were obviously the next step (even more obvious because they want to stop piracy, not protect children)
      • An AI agent will go terribly wrong: after the suicide, telling you to cook pasta with gas, and other brainwashing stories?
      • Prediction markets in everything: has been happening for centuries
      • People and businesses will ditch US platforms: no shit, with all the websites about moving away from the US and using E2E encrypted services in Europe, wow, that’s on the same level as a fake psychic

An article about it is very much appreciated. It’s difficult to see things coming when there is no information available.
