I’ll probably get it eventually, but I’m curious about how folks are finding it on day 1.

Got to say I’m pretty disappointed to see lots of negative reviews on steam talking about performance issues and optimization problems, while Gearbox evidently still had the time and resources to put together more than $100 in day 1 DLC.

Why would you encourage that day 1 DLC bullshit behaviour by ever giving them money?

That aside 3 was such a steaming pile of shit I will not ever be buying another Borderlands game, I loved the first couple and will go back and play them if I need that kind of experience.

If you absolutely must play it, why not pirate it? These companies don’t deserve your money.

I’m not a fan of looter shooters, so this was never gonna work for me anyway, but I wanna mention this because I found it funny: Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition is $130 and the last 17 games I bought on Steam cost me $127, and that includes a few DLCs 😂

I also just realized this: currently at 60%, Borderlands 4 has worse user rating than any of those 17 games 😂

Another lazy developed game that relies on the end user having extremely overpriced and over designed hardware to do the heavy lifting to make it run. If it doesnt work blame the users for not optimizing their hardware as you can see in their steam review responses.

Also lazy RNG guns are not fun or balanced. Wild that a blue can be better than an orange gun just cause RNG rolled better.
And enemies that dont stand out cause they 4k textured cell shaded enemies in natural colors?

And lets not even get into the fact that they stole all the parts of this game from other big games. (Where have i seen a villian putting a brain implant into our main character, and then the ship crashing for us to figure out how to get it out while stumbling on a small outpost in struggle?) stuff I’d probably forgive if it ran and didnt look like it was trying to be everything and nothing.

Ask me again in another couple of years. By then it might be sold at a price point better aligned with what I expect to get, and I might even have the hardware to run the average Unity 5 Unreal Engine 5 game.

You’d think people who do nothing all day but work on middleware had the time and resources to carefully optimize their code, but apparently not.

    Unreal Engine 5

…and I might even have the hardware to run the average Unity 5 game.

Unreal Engine 5, surely? As that’s what it is. Unity 5 was apparently released back in 2015.

But, yea, BL4 is a “wait for ~20 €/$ sale for the ultimatebundle with all the dlc”. Haven’t really felt the need for BL since Pre-sequel killed it for me. Got BL3 on sale and… eh, it was kinda stuttery mess as well, when I played it.
