Wjen your whole milieu is just grey concrete and usually it has graffiti and signs on urban decay it gets real depressing. I kinda like it but you need some colour and nature (and I don’t mean Russian style dead trees with white paint)

You could always act strong for the kid and share the issues with your partner, friends etc. Not crying in front of your kid doesn’t mean you aren’t dealing with the emotions or the issues that cause it
